Lisa's World proudly announces a new program which will
utilize the most amazing plants, insects and vertebrates.
"Survival" which is designed for classroom presentation will
explore various behaviors and characteristics of each
specimen. These individual traits have made possible the
survival of each species through the millenia.
The preferred audience size for each program is thirty to forty students. The specimens
will be displayed on several large, rectangular tables for the students to closely observe.
Teacher's notes are available on request; they provide additional information on unique
adaptations of plants, insects and vertebrates.

The information presented in this program enhances the study of 'adaptation', and is
therefore geared to grades four and five. Teacher's notes will be sent to the fourth grade
team leaders several weeks before the presentation.

The basic fee for a one-hour program is approximately $250. All fees negotiable.
"One of the new requirements in the Maryland State Voluntary Science Curriculum is
that elementary school students become well-acquainted with animal and plant
adaptations. Lisa's "Survival" program perfectly complimented the study of this topic in
our curriculum. You can have the finest books and videos on this topic but none can
compare to an actual encounter with a Venus fly trap, a sensitive plant whose delicate
leaves collapse when disturbed, or the strikingly brilliant colors of a live poison dart frog.
Lisa's wealth of knowledge about the world of nature and her extensive collection of
plants and animals made for an experience our children will remember for a long time to
come!"
